Dance Exercise (Orwell)
In dance and exercise club we have been learning about the importance of exercise in keeping our bodies and minds healthy. We have completed various warming up and cooling down activities discussing the impact they have on our bodies. For the main part of our sessions we have been learning dances from around the world. We choose a country or dance style, unpick the moves and discuss the dance before having a go ourselves. This term we have covered Irish dancing, salsa dancing, swing dancing, line dancing, English country dancing as well as many party and celebration based dances. We have work in partners as well as solo as we built up our dance routines.
