Autumn Term Curriculum

English 

In English we will be developing our fine motor skills through plenty of opportunities for mark making, letter formation and writing for different purposes. We will also engage in shared reading and opportunities for independent reading.

Maths

In Maths, we will be focusing on learning our numbers through a variety of methods. We will also be learning our 2d and 3d shapes, through concrete and pictorial mediums.

Learning Journey 

In Autumn we will be focusing on building relationships with new adults and peers in our class. We will be working towards our individual targets and accessing  a range of cognition and learning, physical and sensory, and social, emotional and mental health areas of need.

Music

In Music we will be learning about my musical heartbeat. 

Every piece of music has a heartbeat - a musical heartbeat. In music, we call it the 'pulse' or the 'beat' of the music. When you are listening and singing to the music and songs in this Unit, try to find and keep the pulse or steady beat together.

PE

In PE we will be developing our fundamental movement skills. We will be working on improving our agility, balance and coordination in a range of circuits and games.

Computing

In Computing we will be using a program called Mini Mash

 We will be learning about understanding the world, exploring a range of online activities.

PSHE

In PSHE we will be learning to identify and manage our feelings.

Spanish

We will be introducing Spanish as a new language, and learning through songs.
