Ivy, fig & fir classes
In Fir class we have been role-playing traditional fairy tales. Role playing stories helps us to remember how a story is structured, supports us with retelling the story and we develop a deeper understanding of the different characters including how they feel.
In Ivy Class we have been participating in Sensory Play, where pupils participate in feeling, smelling, looking at various materials and resources. Such activities often fulfil their sensory needs and therefore develop their ability to engage and focus. We often incorporate food into their sensory play as a part of food therapy so that pupils expand their tolerance to various food items
